Kids can do the darnedest things. Like eating all their asparagus and then asking for more (including picky-picky-Emmy). What next do they have up their sleeves?

I don't know why it is hard for me to remember funny things that Jonas says. Because he says them All The Time. But a lot of them don't make any sense. A lot of times he'll say something like this, "The door goes wokey pokey ally wanna wok."

A lot of time he also just mixes up words. I don't know why - he knows the correct words. Yesterday he was looking right at Ben and said, "I love you mommy." Ha.

Tonight as we were getting the boys in their pajamas I was teasing with Jonas and asked him, "Jonas where did you get that Big Bum?" His reply:

"Jesus gave it to me."

Sheesh, talk about the blame game. :)

Uhhhh, more Halloween

So I thought I was done posting Halloween photos - before Halloween had even come! But, alas, I am not. We had not planned on going trick-or-treating on Friday since we had gone to the ward's trunk-or-treat the night before. And it was a good thing we hadn't planned on going since Ben was 3 1/2 hours late getting off work.

But we were so busy that whole week that I hadn't gotten around to many of the "fun" halloween things - like making caramel apples and carving pumpkins. So on Friday afternoon we made caramel apples and then I promised the boys that we'd carve pumpkins as soon as Dad came home. Little did I know that he'd be so late. But, anyways, we waited for Ben and when he finally got off and came home the boys drew their own faces on their pumpkins and we carved them out. To say the boys were completely estatic with their pumpkins would be a huge understatement. They were completely and 100% overjoyed and giddy.

The Pantry Door

I really like my pantry door. I painted the inside of it with chalkboard paint - I got the "recipe" for it here. I use it every week to write up our menu on one side and "needed items" on the other side. I don't know why I like it so, I just do. Whenever I open the door I think, "aw cute." It's just something extra to do to a home to give it a little spice. Cheap spice, too. That's the only kind I can afford. Especially after our $800 ER bill for Emmy and then today the notice that our health insurance (which, believe me, ain't that grand) is going up $120/month. Thank goodness for the little things that make me smile.
