Emmy had her braces on for over 2 years . . . it was a long time! But she finally got them off last week and she was so happy! Of course. The night before getting them off, Lucy mentioned something about Emmy going to look so different without her braces . . . and we're all like, "No, not really." But, whoa, she does look so different to me ha! So fun for her.
Emmy had wanted to get highlights back in her hair and was saving money to do so. I had made an appointment for her earlier (with my good friend Jen) and so as we were leaving the orthodontist's office, I surprised her and told her she wasn't going back to school but would be getting her hair done. She was super excited and thrilled! Of course. So it turned out to be a pretty darn good day for Emmy. :)
