OFY 2022

It was another fun year for the kids at OFY this year. It was Miles' third and last year - at least as a camper. He's too old to go as a camper, but has expressed interest in being a counselor and so we'll see (unfortunately, his BYU-I schedule doesn't totally fit with a summer job - ugh). It was Jonas' third time and probably last time - out of choice. He's just not into anything related to church/the gospel, etc. and so he doesn't want to go again. Emmy and Erin's oldest child, Everett, went for their first time. Emmy LOVED it. :) I think she'll be back! Miles had another great time, as well. Unfortunately, Jonas had a bad cold (sore throat, achy - maybe it was Covid?) while up there and was only allowed like one or two tylenols a day. A day. So he just wasn't feeling too great. He didn't sound too great when we picked him up and so it was legit. But I still think he had some fun. But even fun when you're sick, just isn't the same.

Emmy's rafting group:

Emmy is second to the last on the left side of the picture. This was her favorite activity - probably all of my kids' favorite. It does look like a blast!

The boys' group, with Aiden, Jonas, and Miles in the front:

Lucy decided to stay up at my parents' house for that week. Ben and I worked that week and Lucy's best friend was going to be out of town, so Lucy decided to stay and hang out with Auntie (who was working all day), Uncle Chuck (he's totally that Fun Uncle), and cousin Oliver. Lucy had a great week them!
They made some cool tie-dye shirts - fun!

Ouch. A little road-rash from a Onewheel crash.

A big highlight for Lucy was driving Grandpa's machine. Who knows what my dad was thinking in allowing his 11 year-old grandchildren to drive! But they loved it (that's probably what he was thinking . . . ) :)

Can you find Miles and Aiden?

Jonas and some of Aiden's head.

Now find Emmy!
Their group for the week.

Here was our gang in Midway on their way up to OFY. Cousin Everett on the right of the picture.

A few friends went as well - Aiden (in the bright red shirt; he's gone every year with my boys. He used to live in Montrose but has since moved to the Front Range, sob), and Andreas and Jesse Distel (good friends and ward members).

Go, Emmy, go!
