Mack's Inn and Yellowstone

We arrived at my grandpa's "cabin" on Sunday evening. I hadn't seen it since it was "remodeled" in the inside and it sure was nice. My kids LOVED it. It made me sad that we haven't visited there more often!

We spent the next two days in Yellowstone - seeing the awesome sights. That place is just so cool and unique. I love it - we all did!

 This spot was awesome - tons of bison just across the river.

 On Monday night my dad had gotten us all tickets at the Playmill (in West Yellowstone) to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. It was totally fun!

 We weren't able to get all seen that we wanted to on Monday, so back to the park we went on Tuesday. This was at Grand Prismatic Spring. Stunning!

 We went on an awesome hike that day - Fairy Falls hike. It was so lovely.

 We kept going past the falls to see two geysers. This one was Spray Geyser. Cute. :)

 The hike took us to Imperial Geyser and it was just awesome! The water was amazing and the geyser just kept on shooting - it was so cool! This place made me so happy. It was a bit out of the way and so we were able to lose the crazy crowds.

On Wednesday morning we were able to kayak and paddleboard and canoe down the river by the cabin - Henry's fork. It was picture-perfect! So fun and gorgeous!

 My cousin owns a place next to my grandpa's and he let us borrow his kayaks - so everyone had their own water-craft. So cool! Well Lucy and Ben rode in the canoe together, until Miles switched with Lucy and then Ollie switched with Ben, etc. :)

 Awesome.

We ended up seeing 3 cow moose and and 3 baby moose - it was amazing. Emmy was totally scared of the moose - I mean, totally! I mean, tears and everything. The moose did get quite close at one time . . . we finally stopped at this one point as we didn't want to cross paths with a mam moose and her baby.

It was such a glorious trip on the water.

After we had packed up, my sister headed straight for the Tetons, while my family made our way to Rexburg. We had an appointment to tour BYU-I. We didn't get any pictures, but it was awesome! Such a pretty campus, really. It was totally fun to check it out and I'm glad my kids got to see it, too. Another option if BYU-Provo doesn't work out . . .
